Jimmy Update

I finally installed my shocks on the Jimmy last night. I got some long travel el cheapo shocks and so far, they look like they will work pretty good. I didn't move the mounts like I had planned. That may be a little down the road. I also scored some upper Jeep doors that I'd like to use to make some soft doors for the truck. Something on order of these:

I think it would work pretty good. I may get around to it eventually.

Santa Nicholas

I found this at misscellania.com. Pretty snazzy.

THE FOUR STAGES OF LIFE
DEFINED BY SANTA CLAUS

1. You believe in Santa Claus.

2. You don’t believe in Santa Claus.

3. You are Santa Claus.

4. You look like Santa Claus.

My pot habit

Pottery wheels are highly overpriced. They are anywhere from 500 to 800 for pretty simple construction wheels. I decided to build my own. I started to assemble a pottery wheel out of a dryer motor (no kick wheel for me) and a car wheel assembly. The shaft of the motor will contact the bottom of the wheel making it spin. The top of the wheel will be filled solid in order to be the throwing surface. The speed will vary by a pedal that will in turn vary the contact the shaft makes with the wheel. Hard to word, easy to illustrate. It's not my invention, but I will make many adjustments on the one that inspired this.

Drawer Geeks

I found this site a while back but lost it. I found it again yesterday, and it's really worth checking out. It is a site based on a few (by invitation only) artists that draw their interpretations of different characters or topics. It's nice to see the way several people interpret the same word or item. Many items are they by Terry Wolfinger. Anything he does is awesome. Check it out here: Link
