I'm sure I'm the last to hear this as usual, but if you haven't heard this it's pretty awesome. This is from Alabama 3, the band that sings the theme to the Sopranos. Check it out:
*EDIT:
a lot of people believe that Leonard Cohen sings this song. Who else has that distinctive voice? Although,I found that:
"Widely recognized as one of Cohen's more accessible albums, The Future contains everything from gospel-choir choruses (title track) to synthesizer ballads ("Waiting for the Miracle"), to pop-country ("Closing Time"), to marching band, staccato-like rhythms ("Democracy"). "Democracy" admittedly influenced the opening track of HBO's The Sopranos, "Woke Up This Morning", written and performed by A3 and widely miscredited to Cohen." So there, Dork.

Postcrossing
Received my first postcard yesterday from Postcrossing. It's pretty snazzy. Came from Bamberg, Germany. I plan on putting them all here on my Flickr account. The first one looked like this:

understand2?
If hope opens people's emotions you only usually realize equality. Although, lives intertwine zealously earning honor, openness, worthiness. Many usually combine happiness into longevity only valuing each, yearning one ultimately.

TTV
I got my new/old camera in today. I did a few attempts of some TTV photos. The only one that turned out decent is this one:
Boring subject I know, but it's dark and rainy outside. Many will follow soon. It's hard to keep the glare down when you're dealing with several lenses at once. I built a black cardboard contraption to help keep out some light, but it's definitely going to have to be modified. Overall, I'm not too disappointed in how this one turned out. I don't like to be disappointed, so it works out. :)

Lexington Motorsports Complete Kit
Final Mil-Spec Design
Final design for the Mil-Spec kit. I plan on running this kit on my own bike. Notice that the right side of the bike will follow the brass-colored theme, while the left side will be more of a brushed aluminum look. The front fender arches, shrouds, swing arms, and number plates will all follow the pattern. I figured by implementing two schemes on one bike, it would offer the chance to showcase two designs at once.
The above photo is of the rim decals that will be put on the lip of the rims to complete the theme.

Quote
Love has no desire but to fulfill itself. To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night. To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving.

TTV
It's been a while since I've posted anything photography related, so I thought it was about time. There's a newish photo movement called Through The Viewfinder or TTV. Folks are taking old cameras from the 50's and 60's and using a digital camera to look through the old camera's viewfinder. The photos turn out with a groovy little black border and typically there are dust and noisy scratches. For some reason I think they look really cool. Plus, I think old cameras look really neat. I guess the whole retro quality. One of the most recommended cameras is a Kodak Duaflex IV, and I just snagged one on Ebay for under 20 bux.
One of the more popular early TTV photos was of a rusty trolley. And here's a few others:

Suckle on My Teet
Ok, so I still find the same things funny as I did in High School. So what? I found this little video the other day and I can't quit laughing. I thought Nick Swardson was hilarious in Grandma's Boy and now he's got a new video out that cracked me up. I'll warn you it is full of very juvenille humor (which I love), and isn't safe for work. Check it out. It's called Suckle on My Teet:

Work on my Jimmy
Finally made some progress on the Jimmy this weekend. Got the fuel lines fixed up and got the motor to run. Seemed to run better than I remember, but I'm sure that's my mind playing tricks on me. Got it out of the garage and removed the top. Sprayed out all the gunk and junk, and drove it around the 'hood to check if lifting it messed up anything with the driveshaft. Everything seems to be good. Climbed a few little banks and ended up blowing a front brakeline. No biggie, plan on having that fixed this week. Pretty happy with everything so far. Here's a little pic that shows the narrowed front end a little:

WD-40 is awesome
You always carry duct tape and beside that you should always have a can of WD-40 lying there.. Always, unless you're an idiot. WD-40 is great, but not too many people know what it stands for. Here it is:
WD-40 stands for Water Displacement, 40th formula. Larsen was attempting to concoct a formula to prevent corrosion by displacing water, and arrived at the formula on his 40th attempt.[1]

Rose Garden Thorns
Beautifully written song. Makes me want a Mexican Princess or at least a burrito. A really good STP song that not a lot of people know. The recorded version is of better quality, but this is one killer live performance. A lot of people notice a Doors influence, and I can see that, but I'm not taking anything away from STP on this song. It's a killer diller.
:)
If you're ever in the mood for a change of scenery and want to go an all new place, try visiting High Bridge, Kentucky. It's located in Jessamine County and is a great place to get away.
